Reveilo

Nashik, Maharashtra

Reveilo – a name synonymous with quality in the Indian wine industry. The Patil family’s roots go deep into the loamy soil of Nashik and this enterprising husband-wife duo have transformed 100-acres of ancestral farmland in Nashik (Maharashtra) into the vineyards and boutique, estate-bottled winery we see today.

Yatin and Kiran saw the potential of the wine trail in this sunrise industry and returned to their ancestral land as entrepreneurs after pursuing corporate careers, planting their first vines in 2000.

Reveilo Grillo pairing perfectly with a classic Indian dish

Reveilo pioneered the planting of Italian varieties Sangiovese, Nero D’Avola and Grillo with imported rootstocks from Italy, first planted on Indian soil in Nashik in 2006 and producing their first vintage in 2009. The genesis of the name “Reveilo” comes from the word ‘reveal’, as in, ‘revealing the mystery’. In a market dominated by French influences, Reveilo is a refreshing new perspective.

For Reveilo, every bottle is an expression of Italian winemaker Andrea Valentinuzzi’s art. With a rich experience of over 25 years in viticulture and winemaking, Andrea is very much a ‘hands-on’ winemaker, closely and personally involved in every aspect of setting up the winery and making the wines. The embracing of Italian influence continues in a partnership with Enofly for a technical collaboration.
